The 2023 Domaine Huber-Verdereau Bourgogne Côte d'Or Chardonnay is a fresh, precise expression of Chardonnay from the heart of Burgundy. Thiébault Huber-Verdereau farms organically and takes a restrained approach in the cellar, allowing the fruit and limestone-driven character of the Côte d'Or to remain at the forefront.
The 2023 is harvested by hand and whole-cluster pressed, with 60% fermented and raised in stainless steel and 40% in older French oak barrels. The wine remains on its lees for approximately ten months without bâtonnage, preserving freshness while adding subtle texture. Lemon, grapefruit and pear lead into white flowers and gentle mineral notes, with enough roundness to balance the wine's bright acidity.
